Welcome to IIT Entrepreneurs Alliance

IIT Entrepreneurs Alliance is a group of IITians dedicated to working together to create successful business ventures. IITEA offers a viable framework to IITian led teams for incubation and successsful implementation of their entrepreneurial ideas.

IIT education and training is characterized by an intense focus on technology. When IITs were setup 50 years ago, it was the vision of India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, that Science and Technology will be the means to transform India - and this is the charge made to every IIT graduate in every convocation.  We learnt that science and technology can be a critical ingredient to solving the problems faced by the society. As entrepreneurs, we are inclined to take on challenges and convert them into opportunities. However, over the years we also learnt the painful lesson that some of these societal challenges are simply too much for a single individual to address and overcome alone. Fortunately, IIT education is also an exercise in collaboration and group involvement – as is exemplified in the intensely residential nature of the learning environment - and imparted to us the wisdom that life itself is a team effort.

The mission of IIT Entrepreneurs Alliance is to create successful economical ventures involving development of technology relevant for addressing major social needs of India and elsewhere by a collaborative working group of IIT alumni with entrepreneurial experience. Our approach is to pool our skills, knowledge and resources, both tangible and intangible, and collaborative entrepreneurial problem solving approach to address significant challenges of the real world which can not be solved by individual entrepreneurs alone.
